Dan D’Agostino’s new viewpoint on Measurements have changed, interview by Steve Guttenberg Audiophiliac

Excellent video interview by Steve Gutenberg Audiophilliac, about how Dan D’Agostinos viewpoint about sound measurements have changed since he left Krell and started Dan D’Agostino Master Audio Systems.

I share a few excerpt/quotes below from the interview that are pretty fascinating in contrast to the past.

Dan:

“The Momentum Amplifier was a quest for the Ultimate Goosebump Amplifer.”

“At Krell, I was looking for the best distortion, best speed, best slew rate”, but now it’s about sound. Listening more and not being concerned with the numbers as much.

“The Momentum had approx. .1% distortion at full power, and at Krell he wouldn’t have allowed the product on the market.”

Enjoy the video.  Steve Gutenberg did a great job with this as always.  Wonderful insight from Dan D’Agostino at D’Agostino Master Audio Systems.

Dan D’Agostino doesn’t care as much about measurements as he used to
