Have you ever had someone say, “Turn that Noise down!” ?
That’s probably because it’s not a high end system, or, it is a high end system that has not been Acoustically optimized and Tuned.
Listening room Acoustic optimization and isolation is quite often not addressed with music listeners, and often not even with Audiophiles in their own listening rooms. Acoustic treatment can become very complex and in fact require considerable Engineering training, experience and insight. However, so much of Acoustic optimization can be addressed by attending through experimentation to some simple things, such as: making sure speaker placement is optimal to begin with, area rugs, followed by placement of standing or hanging sound absorbers, bass traps and diffusers installed in specific places within the room on the walls and ceilings, etc.
